Comfort, Air Quality, or Energy Problems That Never Fully Go Away?

Most home performance problems overlap, and guessing rarely leads to lasting results. Whole-home testing helps identify how your home is actually performing so improvements can be targeted, prioritized, and effective.

If previous fixes haven’t fully solved the problem, testing usually reveals what's really going on.

Why Testing Comes First

Many home upgrades are installed without fully understanding how the home is performing.  By measuring pressure balances, duct & home leakage, and system behavior, we can identify the root causes behind humidity issues, dust and allergen concerns, and other indoor air quality concerns.

After thousands of energy audits and more than 15 years working as a BPI-certified Building Analyst under the DOE’s Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® program, we’ve seen the patterns that separate temporary fixes from lasting results.

What Whole-Home Testing Often Reveals

  • Duct leakage sending outside or attic air inside
  • Airflow imbalances between rooms
  • Hidden air leakage pathways between attic and home

  • Insulation performance gaps or misalignment
  • Return air restrictions affecting system balance
  • Dust and other infiltration points

Who Benefits Most From Testing

Whole-home testing is especially valuable for homeowners dealing with poor air quality looking for solutions.   Poor air quality can come from one or multiple sources.  By testing and evaluating we can  identify the source of the situation and make targeted improvement recomendations.

We Use Professional Diagnostic Tools

Accurate results require more than visual inspection. We use professional diagnostic equipment to measure how your home is actually performing.  These measurements remove guesswork and allow improvements to be prioritized based on actual performance data.

Blower Door Testing

Testing helps locate hidden air leakage pathways in the homes envelope that affects comfort and efficiency.

Duct Leakage Testing

A leaky duct system is often a big contributor to poor indoor air quality

Airflow & Pressure Diagnostics

Pressure imbalances caused by bedroom door closure, poor duct systems or unbalanced ventilation contribute to poor air in the home

What’s Included in Your Evaluation

Professional whole-home performance testing starts at $99 for most single-system homes.

  • Blower door testing
  • Duct leakage testing

  • Attic insulation inspection
  • Visual duct system inspection
  • Visual Heat Load Analysis (comprehensive available)

Whole-Home Testing & Evaluation

Find out whether duct leakage, airflow design, air leakage, insulation performance, or overall system behavior is contributing to your indoor air quality,  and which improvements are most likely to make a meaningful difference. This allows you to make informed decisions before investing in upgrades.

The goal is improved comfort, healthier living conditions, and better efficiency. In some situations, utility rebates may also be available and will be reviewed as part of your home evaluation.
